About two years ago, multiple writers made enough to live off from their Medium income alone. Some even occasionally made five figures in one month. I myself have had months with $2000 and even over $3000.

And even though things have changed a lot since then, and I have not made anything near those amounts in a long time, I'm quite sure there are still writers that make over $1000 per month on average on Medium alone. But as I said, these writers publish a LOT of good enough stories.
