I’m sure that if you have trouble understanding it, others do as well. It might be one of those situations where you’re the only pupil in class courageous enough to raise his hand, while all others are just as dumbfounded but too shy to ask :-)

Or maybe you’re just missing some threshold knowledge that I presupposed in the article.

In any case, I think the best way to help you out would be if you could tell us how you currently take notes. Do you use a paper notebook? Or something like Evernote? Or do you just add notes to the margins of printouts and books? What’s your workflow?
