As to finding an audience, on Medium it’s actually much easier than when you’re writing on your own blog. Medium is designed to steer readers to content they like. So as long as you get into publications and have some of your stories curated, readers will find you.

You may not get as many readers as you want nor as fast as you want, but you’ll get some —even if you don’t do any self-promotion at all.

That said, doing some self-promotion can’t hurt as long as you’re not using the foghorn method ;-)
