Hey Lon, I didn't know you've been around since 2015! Thanks for the history lesson. I had no idea how Medium worked in the early days.

Also, I absolutely agree that this is largely a gambling site... But I guess it's not much different on other platforms, whether it's YouTube for video creators, Spotify for musicians, Substack for newsletter writers, etc.

The only thing that stands out is the amount of success porn I keep stumbling on here on Medium. I mean, there are probably also a lot of "How to get rich on YouTube videos," but thankfully YouTube seems to keep them out of my feed. I'm wondering why it's so different here...
