I always learn something from your comments! I've never heard of the term uitwaaien, but I love walking through natural landscapes.
Exercise, in any form, seems to be an absolute wonder drug for the brain from what I've read. There's a whole book about it titled Spark that I read a few years back.
I remember traveling through Cambodia, Laos, India, and similar countries and being fascinated how even the elderly people there don't seem to have any trouble waiting for a bus while sitting in a squatting position. So it's not only hunter gatherers who benefit from this active resting posture!
