By the way, the 10,000 hour rule means 10,000 hours of deliberate practice. But that’s why I love Medium so much. It’s the best way I know (other than having a private mentor) to clock in hours of deliberate practice. If I’d spent 10,000 hours writing in my private journal, I’d doubt I’d get better. But writing here on Medium, trying to get my work to meet the standards of publications and curators, and getting feedback and statistics on what resonates with readers, I know I’m getting better with time.
