I know what you’re saying, Simon. I can’t just push out “content” either. In fact, much of what I write are deep dives into scientific topics, backed up by lots of references. It sometimes takes me two or three weeks to write such a piece. But generally, they all pretty much bomb, even though the few people who do read them tell me they love them.

That’s precisely why I wrote this piece. To remind me and other writers with perfectionist tendencies that not everything needs to be epic and that it can actually be counterproductive.
