I think the mere act of keeping notes, even if you never look at them, already helps you write more original stuff. After all, your own notes will then be a source for your availability bias instead of just the news and social media everyone else is consuming.

But, yeah, if you make more deliberate use of your notes, you should be able to come up with even more creative ideas :)
