Interesting point, Jon!

I’m not a physicist myself either, but my understanding is also that space-time is one thing. That said, I think in principle you can remain in the same position while changing time. I mean, we live in a three-dimensional space and we can change one spatial dimension (e.g., by going left or right) without also changing the other dimensions (e.g., without also going up and down or forward and backward in space). By analogy, if we add a fourth time dimension, couldn’t we just change that new fourth dimension without also changing any of the spatial dimensions?
