And yeah, lots of disagreements ultimately stem from using the same word for different concepts or ideas. Which reminds me, have you ever heard of rationalist taboo? The idea is that within a discussion you ban the use of certain words and its synonyms. That forces people to clarify what exactly they mean and can help pinpointing where exactly disagreements exist, if any.
