It would be nice if we could temporarily hide some people/publications from the following feed.

For instance, let's say I follow A, B, and C and the stories they publish are denoted by Ai, Bi, and Ci respectively.

Then if A publishes a lot more than B and C my feed may look like this:

A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, A5, A6, A7, B2, A8, A9, C1, A10, ...

In other words, A floods my feed and makes it more difficult for me to find stories from other people I follow (i.e. B and C) because they publish so much more. But if I could temporarily hide A from my feed, this might show me all of the stories from B and C that are otherwise so hard to find.

For instance, after hiding A, my feed may look like this:

B1, B2, C1, B3, C2, C3, C4, B4, ...

And all of a sudden I can easily spot all of the recent stories from B and C!

The scenario also isn't far-fetched. A might be a big publication publishing 50 stories a week while B and C may be lone writers publishing 1 story per week. So each week it's 50 stories from A versus one story from B and C.

So lone writers don't stand a chance in the following feed against big publications.
