I've been giving it a lot of thought too. And I didn't even get into the worst, which is that AI art is based on a massive heist of copyrighted material. The big AI companies stole copyrighted visual art and text-based art to train their models, but didn’t dare doing the same with music because they knew that while visual artists and writers are generally powerless individuals, the music industry is a notoriously litigious behemoth with vast resources and a history of aggressively defending its intellectual property rights.
