My mom isn't a writer, but my father was one all his life. He passed away several years ago, but I can't imagine how much I would cringe if he was still around and I were to tell him all excited about this Medium platform I've been writing on and he were to check it out and stumble upon all the success porn and pretentious advice from wannabes:
