Geez! Sorry, I can’t help myself! I looked at them again.

<Unplugs the Internet, turns off the TV, burns the newspaper, and throws the smartphone out of the window>

That’s better. You see, spending all day checking the news will just make you run around screaming until you collapse into a human jellyfish of despair. It doesn’t make the world a better place.

Now, of course as a citizen of this world you have some responsibility to stay informed. You cannot completely avert your eyes. Or at least you shouldn’t. I mean, if your city is being bombed, if your country faces starvation, if you’re being abused, if your loved ones are suffering, you wouldn’t want the rest of the world to just look the other way because it makes them feel uncomfortable. The world needs to know. You need to know. Otherwise, injustices will…
