Talking about recording lectures, I'm a little envious of the tools students have available now. Because you can record them and then replay them at 2x speed while skipping all of the silent parts. So a one-hour lecture might end up just taking you 20 minutes to relisten to. And I could see that as being useful – in addition to taking effective notes of course :-)
