Before AI tools, there was a similar problem, namely plagiarism.

There were “writers” who just copy-pasted stuff into Medium that they never wrote themselves. And sure, some of them earned a bit of money and some readers. But I'm not aware of any of them having ever done more than just nibble at the Partner Program’s money pot.

So my hope is that those who just copy-paste from ChatGPT will face the same fate their plagiarizing predecessors did: they never earn real fans, never earn more than pennies, and eventually are forgotten and abandoned by the few readers they managed to trick.
