That reminds me of Henry Ford’s famous quote: “If I’d asked customers what they wanted, they would have told me, ‘A faster horse!’”

It's the same with readers. They may think they know what they want, but often they just don't. So it's generally not a good idea to hand over your creative vision to a mob :)
