There's definitely a difference in choices available to the two groups of kids. Although I doubt that the kid with the screen necessarily has more. I mean, the kids frolicking in the dirt just needed to get out of their hut and were immediately greeted by a dozen other kids, all ready to play. Whereas the kids in rich countries I’m aware of are sitting in front of their screens isolated in modern apartments and usually have no way of their own of finding playmates…

Of course, that's also because the birth rate in developing countries is much higher and so there are just way more kids everywhere.
