Well, if you have no other source of income except the gamble that is online writing, then it’s arguably even more exciting than if you have a stable source of income — although it will be exciting in much the same way as Russian roulette is exciting, i.e., not in a good way ;)

But yeah, I get your point. Don’t gamble on making it as a writer if you need to win to survive and can’t afford to lose.
