Well, the definition of success I like the most is the one Austin Kleon gave in his book Keep Going: when your days look like you want them to look like.

As someone who loves writing, this means that I want to spend my days writing about stuff I care without having to worry about money. If you can do that without name recognition, then absolutely, I would consider that success.

PS: becoming even moderately famous actually sounds like a nightmare.
